Prep Cook/Kitchen Help
Have a passion for cooking delicious foods?
We are seeking a talented PREP COOK to join our team.
- Hours: 30 – 40 early hours per week
(weekends & holidays required) - Minimum age: 18 years or older
- Kitchen experience preferred; ServSafe certified a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing a variety of salads, sides, meals, and sauces in our kitchen according to recipe.
- Assisting the head chef by cleaning, chopping, and preparing vegetables and other food items.
- Preparing food in our new food truck.
- Making apple cider donut batter and cooking donuts.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment at all times.
- Performing other kitchen duties as assigned.
Skills required:
Applicants must be able to:
- Follow & execute recipes consistently.
- Be organized, multi-task and manage time well.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain an energetic, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service, and have excellent communication skills.
- Work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Lift 50 lbs.

Bakers
Love to bake muffins, scones, cookies and breads?
We are seeking diligent and friendly BAKERS for our kitchen.
- Hours: 20 – 40 early hours per week
(weekends & holidays a must) - Minimum age: 18 years or older
- Bakery experience preferred; ServSafe certified a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing a variety of baked goods.
- Maintaining, cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, work areas, containers and utensils according to health department standards.
- Packaging, wrapping, pricing and labeling items for retail sale.
- Merchandising bakery products.
Skills required:

Farmers Market Help
FARMERS MARKET HELP
Do you love working with people and being outdoors?
We are looking for outgoing, motivated folks with a passion for agriculture and food to represent Ward’s Berry Farm at local outdoor farmers markets. Starting in June and running through October, these are part-time seasonal positions; hours and days will vary.
Beyond helping to share our farm’s pride in and passion for what we grow with the community, the job involves a unique combination of produce handling, savvy farm marketing and sales, especially good ol’ fashioned face-to-face customer service.
The ideal candidate is an energetic people-person with a cheery outlook and strong attention to detail. He or she should thrive on customer interaction, be of vigorous good health and have the capability and willingness to develop a strong knowledge of the farm, its growing practices and its products. As it is important to have some knowledge of all aspects of the business, other activities will be necessary at times.
All applicants must:
- Be well organized, efficient and able to work independently.
- Possess a positive, diligent work ethic.
- Love working outdoors.
- Be friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable.
- Present a professional, clean, warm and approachable appearance.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Be able to operate a small box truck and be comfortable driving in and around Boston.
Previous farm experience is preferred, reliability is a must!

Field Hands
FARM LABORER / FIELD HAND
Do you like to work outdoors?
Ward’s Berry Farm is now taking applications for energetic farm laborers with a passion for agriculture and food!
Year round and seasonal positions (June through early November) available.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Planting, cultivating and harvesting various fruit and vegetable crops.
- Mowing, tilling the soil, weeding, picking, cutting, cleaning, sorting, packing, processing, and handling harvested products.
- Assisting on the loading dock:
Receiving, washing and packing produce from the field
Operating pallet jacks, rotating produce in cold storage areas
Loading and unloading delivery trucks
Completing wholesale orders, assuring quality of produce - (If qualified) Driving a tractor and giving partially narrated hayride tours for school groups, birthday parties & other events at the farm.
- Working outdoors, in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must:
- Be friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable.
- Possess a positive, diligent work ethic.
- Be able to follow instructions from supervisor.
- Be well organized, efficient and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be in good physical health:
Be able to bend, stoop, lift & carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
Be able to stand for extended periods of time. - Have good hygiene and be food safety conscious.
- Follow guidelines of our food safety program.
- Maintain valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Be available to work early flexible hours, additional hours during peak times (weekends and holidays a must).
Previous farm experience is preferred, reliability is a must!
