Job Description: Ward’s Berry Farm is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Event & Entertainment Staff to join our team! Our Event & Entertainment staff play a key role in creating memorable experiences for guests by facilitating private events such as birthday parties, showers, and corporate gatherings, as well as overseeing our public activities, including Pick Your Own (PYO), Mazes, playground activities, and more. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages, including leading educational farm tours, engaging with children, and ensuring a fun and safe environment. This position requires flexible availability, as additional hours will be needed during peak season (April to October). Prior to our busy season, shifts may be on an “as-needed” basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Private Events:
Setting up and breaking down private event spaces
Managing event flow and directing attendees
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the event venues
Coordinating catering delivery between kitchen and event sites
Facilitating payment
Safely operating tractor-drawn hayrides with event guests
Providing educational tours to event participants during the hayride and supervising the associated PYO activity
Public Activities:
Assisting with check-in and purchase of containers for “Pick Your Own” customers
Providing customer service and answering customer inquiries
Monitoring and engaging with customers in the PYO fields and mazes, ensuring rules are followed and customers are having a positive experience
Safely operating tractors for public hayrides
Overseeing playground activities, including selling admission, checking for wristbands, and ensuring rules are followed
Other duties as assigned may include:
Stocking in the retail store
Harvesting in the field
Serving as a retail associate, which may include operating a cash register
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age
1-2 years of event, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. for event setup and be comfortable standing for extended periods
Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for customer service
Comfortable engaging with guests of all ages, especially children and families
Public speaking skills and ability to confidently lead group tours and activities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Problem-solving skills and adaptability to unexpected situations
Teamwork and ability to work under pressure
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Compensation:

Job Summary:
Ward’s Berry Farm is looking for Part Time and Full Time Retail Associates to work in our Farm Store! The ideal candidate will be reliable, friendly and dedicated! You will greet customers, assist with purchases, answer questions, and process transactions.Key Responsibilities:
· Customer Service & Sales
· Greet customers creating a welcoming and positive first impression
· Answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
· Help customers with any queries, including showing them where items are.
· Providing accurate and helpful information about products, services, and store policies.
· Keep customers informed about current sales & promotions.
· Operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately.
· Assist Event & Entertainment staff when needed to work outside in the Pick Your Own tent. This will include guest check ins and cash transactions
· Stocking and Organization:
· Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring proper rotation for freshness.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grocery store, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
· Ensure products are fresh and within expiration dates.
· Inventory Management:
· Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
· Assist in receiving and unloading deliveries as needed.
Deli & Smoothie Counter:
Process customer orders with efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare smoothies and sandwiches as requested.

Ensure a consistent supply of freshly brewed coffee.

Job Summary: Ward’s Berry Farm is seeking energetic and hardworking individuals to join our team in a dynamic, hands-on role that covers the full scope of produce production—from the greenhouse to the field, and through all outlets of distribution. Responsibilities begin with greenhouse work to grow and maintain seedlings, and continue through transplanting, harvesting, washing, packing, wholesale order fulfillment, and retail stocking. This is a fast-paced and varied position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical, outdoor work and take pride in producing high-quality fruits and vegetables. Year-round and seasonal positions (May through October) are available.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may vary day to day based on the needs of the farm. The role supports produce as it moves from field to customer.
Farm Laborer / Harvester:
Assist in greenhouse work to grow and maintain seedlings for field transplanting.
Harvest a variety of vegetables, fruit, and/or flowers.
Follow harvest guidelines to ensure proper maturity, size, and quality of crops.
Complete cultural tasks, such as weeding, pruning, planting, etc.
Perform general farm duties outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
Support seasonal events, farm displays, and basic infrastructure projects as needed.
Produce Washing / Packing:
Wash and grade produce that comes from the fields to prepare it for sale.
Store, rotate, and organize produce in coolers or other storage locations as directed.
Set up, operate, and clean wash/pack equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all wash/pack areas.
Wholesale Order Fulfillment:
Pack wholesale produce orders, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
Coordinate with managers about inventory and order discrepancies.
Ensure proper handling and cold chain practices to maintain produce quality.
Rotate stock and help organize coolers and storage areas during packing.
Load and unload products from trucks using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Communicate with delivery drivers or customers during pickups, ensuring smooth transfer of orders.
Retail Packager / Stocker:
Package fresh fruits and vegetables for the retail farm store.
Assist in the daily setup of the farm store, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
Stock produce throughout the day, maintaining proper rotation, display, and quality control.
Alert managers of out-of-stock or low inventory items, helping to keep the store fully stocked and organized.
Provide basic customer service in the store, answering questions and helping customers as needed.
Equipment Operation (as qualified):
Operate tractors for farm tasks and guest hayrides.
Use forklifts for dock work and loading/unloading freight.
Drive farm vans and box trucks to deliver wholesale orders.
Drive farm pickup trucks to transport produce, staff, tools, or materials between field work sites.
Operate all equipment safely and responsibly; training available for qualified candidates.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
Good physical health: ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required for equipment operation responsibilities.
Flexibility to work early hours. Some weekend and holiday work is required.
Strong attention to detail, especially when harvesting, sorting, labeling, or packing produce.

Job Summary: Ward’s Berry Farm is seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Technician to maintain and enhance the appearance, functionality, and safety of our farm property. This role focuses primarily on landscaping and outdoor upkeep, with opportunities to support broader facilities and operations tasks during slower periods.
The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining beautiful and functional spaces, and is willing to assist across multiple areas of farm operations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
Perform routine landscaping tasks including planting, mulching, trimming, mowing, and seasonal clean-up.
Maintain lawns, gardens, pathways, and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment.
Assist with irrigation, watering schedules, and monitoring plant health across landscaped areas.
Assist in ongoing grounds improvement projects in collaboration with ownership, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
Support waste management and general outdoor upkeep across the property.
Monitor grounds for safety hazards and address or report issues promptly.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Facility & Grounds Maintenance
Assist with routine facility repairs and maintenance to keep structures safe and operational.
Maintain restroom trailers, ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking, and functionality.
Support janitorial and organizational upkeep across farm facilities
Support seasonal transitions, including spring setup, fall breakdown, and winter preparation of grounds and equipment
Assist with tent installation, breakdown, and upkeep
Assist with minor maintenance needs in worker housing.
Follow and promote safety protocols across all work areas.
Perform basic checks on farm vehicles, forklifts, refrigeration units, and equipment.
Report maintenance issues to the Facilities & Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor preferred.
Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely.
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Basic mechanical or maintenance skills are a plus.
